TRANSFLECTIVE MONITORS

The main feature of range SOLARVIEW transflective TFT panels is that they are readable on virtually any lighting condition. This feature makes it undesirable for use in outdoor facilities, with direct sunlight or intense light sources.

The range of panels is composed of 11 models with sizes of 10.4 ", 12.1", 15 ", 17", 19 ", 19" Wide, 32 ", 42", 46 ", 47" and 52 ". SOLARVIEW modifies standard TFT panels providing them with an outer layer that reflects light transflective receiving so that the panels are readable in extreme conditions of light. Thus SOLARVIEW transflective panels are mechanically and electrically compatible with the respective standard panels.

TFT panels alone do not emit light and therefore require a light source to display the image that contain. This light source can be internal (backlight) as in the case of the TFT "transmissive" or external (sunlight or artificial light) as in the case of the TFT "reflective".

Most TFT panels we know and use are of the "transmissive" and designed for indoor use (houses, offices etc) where light intensity is generally medium or low. If the light intensity increases and requires the use of these external panels are not legible.

Amending SOLARVIEW TFT panel type "transmissive" and becomes "transflective" by adding an outer layer that reflects light it receives. Receive more light, are more visible and legible.
